PROJECT WORK-Articles Critique.

Celtic Numbers Mythology

This is one of the article that one of my classmate did and it's about an europe myth. this is about how some numbers for the celtics had their importance. the article explains that all these numbers have a particular meaning and are associated with some places, things that are in the nature or some values. Additionally, in the article are considered only five numbers that are three, seventeen, five, twenty-seven and thirty-three. In addition, I will give a brief definition of each other.for example, three was a sacred number in ancient Celtic mythology and religion. Secondly,Five signified the family unit and order in Irish tradition, because of the five provinces of Ireland, and also the five laws imposed on provincial Irish kings. Seventeen was a number associated with the cycles of the visible moon, particularly the new moon. Twenty-seven represented the sacred number nine tripled three times, which supposedly triples its potency. Finally, Thirty-three represented the royal or judicary number, signifying great honor.

In my opinion, this is a very intersting myth about the european culture and that is because the celtics was one of the firsts cultures that was in the old continent. moreover, here we can find an explanation of some changes that happen in the nature and know the thought of that ancient culture. however, I think that the article left behind some things like, for instance, the importance that thirty-one had for the celtic culture because here is where the halloween started. also, this was one of the most important feast for the celtic culture.
